On Thursday, February 2, 2012, Tiffany & Co. and Developing Minds Foundation hosted foundation supporters to an in-store cocktail to raise funds for a notable cause. Henry Gonzalez Tiffany & Co. Group Director Miami & West Florida Market, and Philippe Houdard President of Developing Minds Foundation, brought together an elite group of VIPs to partake in Tiffany’s signature fundraising activity “Keys For A Cause”. Luciana Pavan, VP of Digital Media at AE, History and Biography Channels, served as the emcee for the occasion, motivating guests to purchase keys for the opportunity to win a Tiffany prize. Keys were sold at $100 apiece, with all of the proceeds benefiting the foundation that builds and supports educational programs in areas affected by violence and poverty in countries such as Brazil and Columbia, with foreseen expansion into additional countries in the near future.
Guests were welcomed with a warm salutation by Henry Gonzalez, as he thanked everyone for celebrating this special occasion with them and expanded on the premise that Tiffany & Co. is happy to support all cultures as the company’s global initiatives provide the same “Tiffany” experience across the world. He then introduced Phillipe Houdard, who spoke a few minutes about Developing Minds Foundation and shared a warm testimonial of a young man who graduated high school thanks to the organization’s programs. VIP guests, along the likes of Emmy award-wining news anchor of Univision Networks Maria Elena Salinas and philanthropist Allison Weiss Brady, were happy to partake in the charitable festivities. Attendees were also delighted by The Westin Colonnade Coral Gables’ delicious catering and Partida Tequila’s array of tantalizing cocktails. Many went home with their very own Tiffany Blue Box, and everyone was a winner thanks to the significant funds raised during the occasion.
